A commercial building's emergency and exit light requirements mandate active lights in egress exit routes. Emergency light fixtures automatically switch on when power goes out to illuminate pathways toward egress exits. The ELD10UNVL Universal Lighting Technologies Everline LED Emergency Driver works in conjunction with an AC LED driver that has an output current not to exceed 3.0A. When AC power fails, the driver immediately switches to the emergency mode, operating the LEDs at a reduced lumen output. The ELD10UNVL can deliver up to 10 watts to an LED load for 90 minutes. When AC power is restored, the emergency driver automatically returns to the charging mode. It takes 24 hours for the battery to completely recharge. If used in an emergency-only fixture, then no AC driver is necessary.
