By using a ballast bypass design, there’s one less possible point of failure, making the fixture more reliable. Ballast bypass LED tubes will also save time finding a compatible ballast. Upgrading fluorescent lights to LED will save time and money in maintenance costs. When a fluorescent light is frequently turned on and off the lifespan is reduced, whereas LED tubes aren’t affected nearly as much. Upgrading fluorescent lights to LED will also improve the quality and energy efficiency of a lighting system. UL Type B LED tubes prevent energy being wasted as it passes through a ballast.
Here is the Keystone Technologies, 18 inch frosted lens, T8 Medium Bi-Pin retrofit LED tube lights. These tubs have a Power Factor >0.9 and consumes just 7 watts of 120 to 277 volt energy. These LED T8 replacement tubes are non-dimmable, will produce 700-800 Lumens of light output (that's an awesome 100-114 Lumens Per Watt), has a CRI >83 and a rated life of up to 50,000 hours.
The physical dimensions of the 18 Inch T8 LED Tube Light Keystone LED retrofit are 17.12" long by 1.10" wide. Each LED T8 retrofit bulb has an internal driver and is wired live on one end only. The 7 watt LED T8 tube has been designed to retrofit existing linear fluorescent T8 or T12 installations, thereby reducing maintenance and energy expenditures in residential, commercial, retail displays, hotel, motel and resort applications and as an energy saving light source for new fixtures and installations.
